Bill, did you know there's yellow tithonias? I've got patches of yellows
growing beside the orange. Stunning!!! They were "new" in Cincy this
year.
But getting back to future trends in colours (colors!!) ... I myself am
fascinated with blacks. And more and more black flowers are appearing on
the market such as violas, hollyhocks, and of course tall bearded irises.
Are there any black iris cristatas? or black Louisianas? or black
Siberians? or black iris setosas? How about nearly black??? I'd really
like to see some of those! Perhaps this could become one of my hybridizing
goals? Anybody want to coach me on how to achieve something like a black
iris cristata?
