And insecticides if I remember our last discussion on this topic! Bill, if you
are going to give out this kind of advice then you should also provide
rational, reasonable alternatives.

This method may work for small gardens with small weed problems providing all
the seed on these weeds do not drop off while they are drying and dying in the
garden.

First, it is no one person's place to tell another how much garden they can
have or not have. Second, ".....time....." may have nothing to do with a
person's ability or inability to pull weeds.

Bill, I have never met you but have read every message you have posted on this
list since I joined. I also read your messages on the "Hybrid List." You have
posted some very interesting and helpful information and you have a great deal
of knowledge in the field of irises. However, the way I read this message from
you is "If you don't garden the way I do then you shouldn't garden!" "My way
or nothing at all!" Many newcomers to the list may consider your message as a
personal attack, I know I did when I was new. Where is the toleration for
people who do things differently than you? If you are going to spout "organic
purism" then you should be sure you are practicing it. There is nothing wrong
with stating your personal ideas or opinions but you should do it in such a
manner that others do not feel like those ideas and opinions are being forced
on them. The whole idea of Iris-Talk is to share ideas, methods and knowledge
and I believe we all generally do a good job of this.
