Linda, here is a totally different starting point--
CLARENCE--which appears to be an I-sub-s amoena and a luminata at the same
time. At least that is one interpretation of its pattern. Sutton's list this
as a reliable rebloomer up to z 5.
And Keppel's LONELY HEARTS--a pink (full four-plex t) and a plicata AND an
I-sub-s amoena. I don't know if Lonely Hearts carries the luminata allele (it
very well may), but if you were to cross these two, you would probably lose
the expression of "t" and have yellow/violet amoenas that are also plicatas,
or possibly luminata/plicata combos. You would have to fish for the four-plex
t required to turn the yellow pink again, and at the same time keep your eyes
open for the luminata to reappear without plicata with it, but you would be on
your way. You just won't get the depth of color in the fall you are asking
for. you might get medium purple with the pink undertone, possibly very
attractive.
Of course, you could always toss ROMANTIC EVENING into the mix.....but how
many generations do you want to pursue this?
