OT: Peony Nomenclature

Well, I hope it isn't true since Peony hybridizers are not exactly thick on 
the ground, and I am glad C.S. Harrison isn't here to hear that rumor. Peonies 
were his first floral love and, as a founding Director of the American Peony 
Society, he was so very proud of the work they did at Cornell in the first 
decade of the century toward straightening out the nomenclature of the genus. His 
Peony Manual was the first American book on the Peony.
