When it comes to collection of images with registration I have heard maybe one response that it might be a good idea. Mostly I have heard numerous problems, of which I am already aware. It seems to me we should not expect to identify a plant because we now have a photo. We cant identify plants with a text description so does that mean we shouldnt have registrations? People are consistently trying to identify plants on Iris photos. Does this mean we should discard that forum? To me whether it is desirable to have photos with registration is the primary question. Technology continues to change so how the images are stored and for how long will have different answers as the process begins and continues. I think we will do the best we can with what we have. But without a number of people saying, Yes I would like to see pictures than nothing will ever be done and all the discussion of how to use, store, etc. will be moot. Unfortunately I have not been encouraged by the responses on
 this forum in general so far.
