Indeed, I do remember the seedling you reference.  Lovely and it does  
illustrate your point beautifully.  
 
If there is ONE thing I learned about iris people it's that we have as many  
opinions as we do people!  We're all proud of being individuals with our  own 
likes or dislikes.  Call it taste if you prefer.
 
There are many variations enjoyed by everyone.  Open or domed  standards?  
Overlapping hafts or not even touching hafts?  Round or  oblong falls?  Flaring 
or horizontal falls?  Pastel colors or  bright colors?  Amoenas or variegatas? 
   
 
We aren't going to like the same thing, but that's okay.  There's room  for 
all.  
 
Warning!  Humor ahead!  Is it possible that the larger fall areas  is the 
selective result of old age?  They are easier to see?   <vbg>
