Wow, another good idea - sugar and water. I think it was Griff that told me about using a potato - thanks Griff. By the way Dave, do you still have Dr. Moody? I bought Rosso Relativo (Bianco) this year because it looks a little like Dr. Moody - see attached file below. Thanks very much for your suggestion. Using a suitable glass (glasses) filled almost full with luke warm water-dissolve as much sugar as the water will hold. 2. Cover with 2 or 3 folds of aluminum foil, pierce the center of the foil and insert the pod (suitably labelled) with sufficient material to reach midway down the glass. 3. Place the glass (glasses) on a north facing window until the pods until the pods fully ripen. I used this procedure successfully this year with pods on stalks that the local deer population knocked down.
