Apologies to John and Kathy, but the mail brought unusually rich rewards today.
a) Lee Valley Garden Catalogue
b) Ottawa Valley Rock Garden Newsletter
c) Canadian Iris Society Newsletter
d) SIGNA bulletin
e) and not least... THE AIS JANUARY BULLETIN.
Excuse me, but last year we didn't get the AIS January issue until late March.
An important observation: The inside back cover shows Ruby Eruption (Chapman
'97). It is the correct form and the yellow is close, but the rest of the bloom
is a ruby colour, not the very dark blue-black shown. It is a very fine SDB,
but only Chuck Chapman seems to take a photo that is true to colour. He delayed
issuing his catalogue last year to get the colour mix correct.
