Dana,
I should have added to these posts that our soil here is sandy but
amended , and alfalfa added twice a year.
Interpol appeals to me because of the tailored look, and I do have Holy
Night now because I can't resist a reblooming black or near black ...but
newly planted in August with no increase yet! Another older one is NIGHT
LADY and MARAUDER is on my list to "find out" about. I'm glad to hear BLACK
WATCH IB is nice and I'd love to have COMBUSTION in the BB bed.
My thought is that red/blacks suffer because reds in general seem to
struggle in hot/humid zones...LADY FRIEND, a lovely keeper I have now,
bloomed well the first year but only one increase...and I thought I had read
she does well in hotter climates. BORN AGAIN is another red with black
highlights (they tell me) and it's moving slowly as well . Oh well. The
bottom line again is having to grow it to be sure, I guess.
I'm enjoying all the input, thanks!
