Good Morning Iris Lovers...

Slowly but surely the iris catalogs are finally beginning to make an
appearance. They have a LONG way to go to catch up with the huge stack of
colorful Daylily Magazines that have already arrived. Once they pass the 50
page mark, I start calling them magazines... Especially when they rival
Southern Living and Better Homes and Gardens!

Yesterday Dave Niswonger's CAPE IRIS GARDENS colorful Iris, Daylily and
Daffodil catalog arrived to my glee... Dave always has good irises and
daylilies, but the one that knocked my sox off this year is his latest spuria
introduction of BLUEBERRY SUNDAE for 2000. It's pictured on the front
catalog cover... The colors are absolutely glorious.

There are some great color photos of all his new offerings, but I think this
year my money goes to the Spuria and a few of his later daffodil
introductions. However, a few of his medians this year might also be somehow
hard to resist.

Hope you've gotten yours, it's one of his best catalogs yet! And I sure hope
the Iris catalogs begin to roll in here soon!
