and others who have used the offensive word "nip"
in posts regarding this matter,
I assume you and probably I will get a post from
the "obscenity police" for your post using the
word "nip". Perhaps it will be possible to
determine who has the filter from that post.
If they receive the list on someone else's
computer at work, school or public library they
might not know they are the list member who is
causing these returns of posts.
I don't understand how it is "politically correct"
to accuse someone of obscenity or bigotry based on
"perception" of abuse when none is intended. It
is at least as abusive (IMHO) to do so as it is to
actually call someone by a derogative name.
It does make you feel like melting their circuits.
Of course if we continue to post using the word
nip maybe that will do it. LOL

so apparently it is a filter somewhere other than

And there is nothing even remotely obscene about
your terminology. The word
in question, 'nip' is a bona-fide word right there
in the current
dictionary--I just looked at the Random House
College which is here at my
elbow before I said that--and aside from anything
else it has to be
CAPITALIZED to refer in an offensive manner to the
denizens of ancient Japan.
The whole situation is inane, Margaret, or would
be if it were not so scary,
all that piety combined with ignorance. Quite
makes me want to say dirty
words until their circuits melt.
