A sort of off-topic iris question, which I've been wanting to ask for
a while:
My favorite fragrance is "Tiffany" which is described as a luxurious
floral bouquet of Damascena Rose, Indian Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Fleur
d'Orange and IRIS (caps mine).
It is very floral and very luxurious as the description says, and is
somewhat sweetish at first, but has a lot of depth, many floral notes,
and
a certain elegance in the end. I cannot detect any of the above scents
separately - they blend and none seem to predominate. I've never smelled
a fragrant iris, so don't know what note it adds to this perfume. I'm
wondering if the predominate note, if there is one, might be the Iris,
in which case I would say fate is not without its ironies.
Would a woman on this list have ANY idea, (perhaps one who is familiar
with 'Tiffany'). How about you, Anner? You have an excellent way with
colors - does that extend to fragrances? And if a man knows the answer
to this, you get extra brownie points for sure.
This is slightly off-topic, so if someone would rather e-mail me
privately, that's fine.
