I've really been enjoying thinking about this post. This is such a nice post,
with such an amiable idea: the suggestion that we seek to redeem an otherwise
unpleasant inevitability. The whole thing reminds me of Henry Mitchell, and
that is a high complement.
Did we ever discuss whether truly filthy cold weather after Borer Hatch Day
did the newly hatched rascals in? My guess is they come in waves, but I
wondered if we knew whether the first wave was potentially vulnerable to cold?
