My understanding--most AIS awards are given from garden judging. Page 22 of
the judges handbook, under Awards & Honors, states " The emphasis is
repeatedly placed on the word GARDEN because this system of awards is based
entirely on performance in the garden; (etc. etc.) . . . the judge should
visit gardens across the country, weighing the merits of eligible varieties."
(Gardens!)
Are the H.C, H. M., A. M. etc., being based on show bench performance?? !!!
