Dennis, you're reading my mind....I've been looking at Pryor's
seedlings on *Larobin* and my head swirls. LA's didn't look like
that when I bowed out in the late 70's! I acquired my first
Louisiana here last year, and it loves my garden (grew only one in
Idaho back then) and I plan to add more.
Also added Siberians and JI's. The latter didn't like Idaho desert
sun and lime, but the arils did.....here in North Carolina it is just
the opposite.
I ask myself why I'm fighting the climate? Join it, not fight it.
Several of the local iris folks have done just that.....we had a LOT
of LA and Siberian entries in the Hendersonville show last year, and
the top award went to a LA. There's even a JI show in June
annually. Beautiful stuff.....
