Laurie asked:
<Seriously??? When I edit pages, I never add any info not present on
the
pages I'm editing. No one ever told me I
should! Of course, I didn't
jump in on the project until the '79 CL was being
digitally prepared, and
I've also edited some '69 pages. Am I supposed
to be searching out intro
dates for cvs registered in one CL and introed in
the next?>
NO!! Do what John Jones sez to do. That was back when we first started
& many things have changed, I'm sure. I have some more recent pages
that I hoped to edit this winter (where did it go??) that I'm sure will
be a different beast. At first, Mike Lowe was sending extra stuff -
revisions/corrections to the scanned data that he sent to John. I
think. Mostly because some of us were rushing things - champing at the
bit to get started editing before they (mostly Mike I think) were thru
cleaning up the scanned pages. Sorry for the confusion....but the point
I was making is that the first version electronic checklist may not
quite always be an exact duplication of the printed version. Tho
that's what John wanted it to be, some of the editors insisted on
'fixing' obvious typos <g>
