A winter wonder thought;
Most of my plants have a fan of leaves and a bloomstalk. The bloomstalk has
very few leaves and "leafy' protection at the branching points. Some plants
have a bloomstalk that begins with leaves progressing up the stalk ( similar
to a palm ) with a more common shaped stalk and blooms at the end. Does this
come from it's specie crossing history or is it an environmental effect?
(Really should pay more attention this year)
