I agree with John's criteria below. In addition, since I am interested in
historics I would add "accuracy in identification and labeling" as a basis
for my loyalty and business. I have no desire to add to my collection of
NOIDS (...no I.D.s) Also because I live in The Frozen Tundra, I will only
order from those companies that can deliver my rhizomes early enough that
they have a chance to become well rooted before winter hits. Every iris
I've planted after September has perished over the winter unless I've taken
heroic measures to save it, such as covering it with a cold frame. And
that's a pain!
