Among the other potential explanations you have received from other
listers for this sort of non-response is the very strong possibility that
the grower in question never received your email at all. I can't begin
to count the number of emails both incoming and outgoing from my personal
account that end up lost in cyberspace, never to reach their intended
destinations or be seen again. It happens *frequently*. In most cases,
I receive no notification of the email delivery failure, either. If I'm
lucky, I might accidentally discover the non-delivery in future
correspondence when it becomes clear that earlier emails were never
received by me or the other party involved.
I suggest you email the grower at least three separate times before
reaching the conclusion that they are being non-responsive.
