Barry Blyth of Tempo Two gardens in Australia ships his irises until the end
of April and recommends that you pot them for 5 or 6 weeks after arrival so
they won't be exposed to severe freezes after having just come from his hot
climate.  I don't know what some of our other list participants from your
zonal area have experienced with his irises, but maybe some will chime in
and tell you.  Meantime, Tempo Two's catalogue can be ordered from
