HYB: Pink Taffeta and other major pink ancestries

A resource often overlooked but invaluable resides in what is contained in the
pedigree sections behind entries for PINK TAFFETA and others, including MARY
RANDALL and VANITY on the HIPS site ("Quick Fix" or Dykes Medal sections)
that will give a comprehensive introduction into the relationships among the
contributions to early pink breeding by Hall, Fay, Glenn Corlew, Tell
Muhlestein and Rudolph.

Many of the otherwise unidentified seedling numbers in the pedigrees noted in
the preceeding thread involving Pink Sleigh and Pink Taffeta are identified
here. Using all three charts (which, by the way, are gif files and can be
copied to ones hard drive, then enlarged substantially sections at a time to
make the reading much easier) one can trace back the ancestries in most
branches to the limits of the known . Otherwise unpublished data is opened
up, filling in parentages often not given in the Check Lists.

This resource is a marvelous asset for anyone wanting to know those parentages
in depth where Dykes Medal irises are involved.
