That's what I meant.I wonder if I have enough HoM X pink or orange seedlings to do the calculation for tangerine factor. Tangerine has shown up in beards now and then, but a lot less often than 1/36. Data confounded by poor survival. Mary Lou managed to get an orange seedling from HoM.

No. several crosses added up. And it was a one way crosses. That is one parent having just one plicata gene x plicata (if I remember correctly). I'd have to look it up for more details. But a situation where you would get no plicatas without the tetraploid randomization. Found it. bulletin 221 April 1976. "Tetrasomic segregation at the plicata locus". Also see his article in #193.
