My suggestion re pacific coast hybrids, is to try to find someone who will
ship in spring.  I don't know if Terry Aitken or Joe Ghio will....but you
might ask them.  I have had better success with spring planting....but be
prepared for failure.  Of about 100 tries, I have had 2 limited successes
(both times with the cultivar BIG MONEY).  Also, it is highly recommended to
sterilize the soil before planting.  Someday we will get the trick of growing
them here in the East....and I keep trying.  Hope you will too.  Lots of
