The only color class that I can say is difficult re rot here in Virginia is
brown...and that probably derives from the fact that many are derived from
lines involving Tobacco Road...a notorious rotter back here in the East.  In
the other colors there are so many cultivars that grow like weeds.  I have
never had a rot problem with a Schreiner red, for example. If you and a
gorgeous light yellow, by all means get Nora Scopes Early Light...it didn't
win the English Dykes Medal for no reason...it has everything an iris should
