Also, check out I. versicolor and I. virginica (natives) - similar tall blue
irises (versicolor is better suited to northern climates, virginica
to southern).
As for I. pseudacorus (non-native), please be careful about where
you plant it. Created or self-contained water gardens are not a
worry, but the plant can be very invasive, so you might be cautious
about planting it along a flowing stream or natural pond with an eit
flow. There is no doubt that it is a beautiful plant worthy of a
place in your garden, it just requires a little more vigilance!
