Awhile back, someone mentioned using Cygon as a drench for borer control.
Can someone who uses it this way explain exactly how and when they do it?
Up to now, I've had mostly TBs and have been able to control borers
"manually"--i.e, digging out the affected rhizome or squishing the pest in
the fan. However, I discovered borers in my Siberians last year, and have
reluctantly decided I must go chemical this year, due to increasing numbers
of Sibs, JI, and species, and the greater difficulty of "manual" control in
these varieties.
