Thanks to all that responded to my introduction. I forgot to mention that I
am in Maryland, in the greater D.C. metro area. Of note is that I am south
of D.C. - which has a climate noticeably different from the areas north of
D.C., even though it's only 15 miles. Cold winters (10-15 def F common,
occasionally down to zero or even lower) and hot (90 deg F+), humid (60 pct
rel. hum. during the day - more at night) summers. Not exactly a paradise.

P.S. Is there now in existence or are there plans to have a "digest"
service from the newsgroup server? I get messages popping up all day long.
I was very surprised to have over 100 messages this morning.
