---------------------
I use a 20 year old Yashica SLR which I bought with a 50mm
macro lens. It's the only lens I have for it. It works well for
taking photos of flowers, but it doesn't work as well for
butterflies as I have to get too close to the subject and it
scares them off. I'm not familiar with your camera, but it
should be a single lens reflex to work well with any macro
lens. This allows you to see exactly the image you will record.
If you're going to buy a good lens you should consider getting a
tripod as well. This will allow you to stop down the camera
shutter to its smallest opening and increase the time of the
exposure, so that as much of your subject will be in focus
as possible as well as minimizing camera movement/blur.
