If I may be permitted to make an observation, subject lines which consist
only of a Digest Number really aren't much use to anyone.
As I recall from a time when I was briefly on the Digest Mode, one was not
limited to replying in this fashion by any technical constraint. Has this
changed?
If not, the small effort it would take to copy in the subject line of the
actual post to which you are replying would, I am sure, be much appreciated
by those who rely on the information in the subject line, either initially,
or when doing research in the archives.
