The online database has been extreemly usefull to me as I do research
on offspring and ancesters of iris as I look for the genetic
components. For example to find the plants with Vanity as a parent, I
just do a search of "Vanity" and I can then look more closely at the
offspring, and voila, I find lots of plicata offspring, thus vanity is
either a glaciata or carries two or more plicata genes, probably
glaciata. Many other good examples. You can't do this with an R & I
book(s). Well worth the price. The time saved and information provided
is tremendous.
