I hate to nitpick, but an arilbred doesn't necessarily have TB in its
ancestry. Most do, but not all of them. Anyway, yes, arilbreds tend
to be just as sensitive to those late spring freezes. The best
solution I found is to bury them under about 1/2" of soil, but that's
only good for me in my raised beds... it might not be good for
everyone else (especially if they're not in raised beds).
I don't think it has anything to do with TB ancestry, as the aril
species are just as sensitive to the late spring freezes too. But
then again, it probably depends on the background of the aril species
which the arilbreds are derived from.
Too many variables in the equation!! Augh!!!!!
