Ronald,
I'm not all that far from you in the mountains of NH. I plant irises any
time I get them. I really prefer to be done with planting in August. Really
up here you can get away with it as soon as you can work the ground and it
isn't a sodden mess.
I enjoyed your historic daylily register. I miss it. Used to check the
pictures often. I enjoy the historic irises too.
