figure, the darned thing is a mid-season-late bloomer. <<<
Ah, and that means I will order it but the best part was the
back cover of medians: SANGRIA -IB (which has family connections
with good growers here like Candy Floss and Chanted); DOMAINE
-IB (can't resist those red beards); HOT TOPIC -IB - which I
will get since it comes in the IB intro. package and it will
probably turn into my favorite. I am trying to cut down on SDBs
since they were overtaking my garden. However, I can't resist
MINOR LEAGUE and CLOCKWORK belongs to one of my fav. color
classes and might as well get TODDLER which has great white
beards...etc.
In Keppel's TB listings, I love HAPPENSTANCE(00) with most of
the iris world - the form is so graceful. I also shy away from
what I term pinched standards (Patrick called them conical
standards). I also like Shoop's LAST LAUGH (00)- even tho' the
standards look a little pulled in. But nothing can beat KITTY
KAY (02) for me and I better get my order in today. It is also
listed as a ML which is always good up here.
Ellen - where the high temp. will probably not reach 0 F (-18 C)
today. Yesterday was balmy with a high temp. of 3 F (-16 C) and
Patrick has RE TBs in bloom.
