RE: Flightlines


I fully agree with Mark.  I do think that the possibility of having our
ignorance show up in the AIS bulletin inhibits some of our postings.  A
number of the members on this list are iris experts, but most of us are
just amateurs trying to learn more about the culture and care of our
favorite flowers and sharing the joys and disappointments of growing and
hybridizing them.  We should at least be asked if the editors think
something we have written is good enough to be published.

     I think that this would by far be the best option.  This could
possibly 
have the option of giving "standing permission" to avoid asked
repeatedly.  I 
do not think that this list should affiliate with AIS, nor should there
be an 
Official AIS list at this time.  I think the best flow of information is
on 
"unofficial" lists.
