What I called the R & I is the IRIS CHECK LIST of Registered Cultivar Names
published by the American Iris Society. The description of ROYAL TARA was
taken from the 1969 Check List. So R = registration and I = introduction.
Some irises are registered but never introduced. These are the official
registry of any rhizome type iris, but not of the bulbous iris.

Texas Zone 7b, USA - Thanks, Jean, for posting the photo of ROYAL TARA on
IRIS-PHOTOS. I'm going to look again and see if I can detect green when it
first opens. Haven't ever noticed on mine, but our bright sunshine may
cause it to evaporate almost instantly.
