It is too bad that lofters didn't catch on.  I do like that much better.

My loft story is, of course, from the underside of the loft.  I'm always leery
about walking on the ground near a loft.  I got unlucky one day and was
walking by just as someone tossed a bale of hay down from the loft.  It hit me
directly on top of my head.  I think that I'm a good inch shorter now, and
doubt that it knocked any sense into me.  :> )
