Pat, what kind of potting mix do you use and how do you manage them?
Shade? Buried pots? Size of pot?
SDBs and MTBs don't do well for me here, partly because of gravel,
partly summer heat. I've tried some in pots of regular soil in part
shade in the past with even worse success.
<Speaking of pot culture, I have for a couple of
years been growing the Willott's
SDB and MDB irises in pots because they grow and
bloom better in pots here in hot Texas. Last year I exibited the only
MDB most of the FW Iris Society had ever seen.
It got a blue ribbon too.
