Thanks Pat. I was just thinking of summer heat, not winter cold.
Interesting. They also might have fewer soil borne disease problems in
storebought potting soil.
If you have time, what are some of the SDB & MTB cultivars that have
done best for you? By best, I mean have been most disease free and
reliable bloomers.
Do you think it matters what size pot? Or just anything big enough?
<I use plastic pots, in full sun, and Miracle Grow potting soil. Some
get late afternoon shade. They grew for me in the ground, but didn't
bloom well until I put them into pots because the roots get colder in
pots, I think. I don't bury the pots. Pat>
