Cult or OT: Iris itch
This is not figuratively speaking, i.e. the skin contact with irises produced
a rash and itch so that my cousin could not grow any. I'm certainly glad I
didn't get THAT gene! ! !
The worst animal offense, I've had was a crow flying off with what was then a
$35.00 new iris ---evidently some time ago! Squirrels seem to have a liking
for a particular iris, and I've had to replant one 6 times before they got
tired of digging it up or ? Again, with a pollyanna attitude, I'm glad I don't
have to worry about cougars! Just someone leaving the gate open and a stray
(which is illegal here) dog getting in the yard and creating havoc. My
dog, when I had one, knew how to behave with irises and the garden in general, in
fact was a help in chasing squirrels, which my cat also did! My present
Pretty Girl Puss is an indoor cat since I try to have feed and water (in
non-freezing weather) for the birds. Riosalie nr Baltimore,Md,USA zpme 7 where it
is nasty foggy drizzley weather. ryfigge@aol.com
