It is currently 71 degrees here!  In the course of two weeks we will  have 
only one night that reaches freezing temperatures.  Not long enough  for the 
soil to freeze.  
 
Did go to check the pots today.  No sprouts.  The soil is very  soft and 
fluffy, definitely not frozen.  I was concerned that a few seed  had migrated from 
the straw down to my pots!  Guess they will be easy  enough to pull if I 
catch them early.  
 
In support of leaves . . . they don't drop seed!
