They just replaced all the fluorescents at my workplace with LED and it definitely looks brighter. I wonder if the LED lights have less yellow or red wavelengths in them than the fluorescents because everyone's skin color looks extra pale or ashy now. Coincidentally, there has just recently been a discussion on the rose hybridizers forum about LED options: http://rosebreeders.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55176 I haven't tried any LEDs out yet myself. So far I'm still using the junky old cheap fluorescent shoplights and I haven't even replaced the bulbs in years.
