up here, in Western New York, we have iris which have the good sense NOT to
grow in the winter.. most of the time..
I went to rural NYState yesterday under a glorious sun and was renewed by
the 65mile postcard with cornstalks poked up out of the snow cover, the
shapes of the snowdrifts around the pinetree windbreaks, the snow remaining
on the treebranches.. snowshoe rather than cross country skiing snowcover.
The LAST thought was about growing/showing iris!!
