I was wondering the same thing - I had extremely poor germination from the
few TB seeds I planted last winter and wondered if I had managed to winnow
out all the crosses that were thinking about germinating when the last bad
evil freeze hit last year.

Has anybody done an experimental comparison of germination of seeds from TB
crosses known not to do well in cold climates and vice versa? This would be
a quick and easy way for 'west coast' hybridizers to select for cold
hardiness in their crosses. But it sounds like the TB seeds germinate no
matter what treatment they get. Not my experience for sure, but I suspect I
have had very low seed viability.
