I have tried a few arilbreds without much success. I fell in love with
PINK BETTERMENT at the Phoenix convention, ordered it, and lost it. I have
lost a few others as well. The only arilbreds I currently grow are JEWEL OF
OMAR, which does pretty well but not last spring, and the older TROPICAL
BUTTERFLY, which I think has some aril in it, but which also didn't bloom
last spring, which as we have mentioned before, had a particularly nasty
late freeze.
Julie Allen, Sparta, TB zone 6--where we tallied up our rainfall for 96, and
measured 60.5" in our rain gauge. We had a dry summer but a wet November.
