I have had requests for info re subscribing to 'Anything But Green',
(A.B.C.) - the Journal of the Variegated Plant Enthusiasts Group.
Kathy Guest posted it earlier in the Fall of '96.
It is available for $10.00 (US currency) at:
Anything But Green
4309 SW Cullen Blvd.
Portland, OR 97221
USA
I am assuming that it is published twice yearly and I just received
the Fall/Winter issue. It has short articles about all types of
variegated foliage plants and also a Members' Corner where folks
can write about their 'finds'. For instance, James Waddick (yes,
the Editor) wrote about a plant of Ranunculus, "Brazen Hussy" -
"The shiny bright yellow petals against the dark-colored foliage
is very striking, the contrast is about as extreme as you can find."
(the foliage is deep chocolate brown-bronze)
So, the foliage can be anything but green and is not limited to creams
or purple in this newletter/journal.
