That is not what my 1989 edition tells me.....on the dust jacket
it says:
256 pages
38 color photographs
32 black and white photographs
16 line illustrations
Mathew has the photographs identified and numbered on pp xi, xii
and xiii.
However, they are not 256 p. even including the table of contents
and the Foreward....there are 215 p.
