Jeff Walters in northern Utah reported:
Fortunately, we have enjoyed much milder temperatures this winter; it
hasn't even gotten down to 0 degrees F (yet). Current temperature at 1845
local time is 30F/-1C.

The report from here is NOT climate envy, but to say that this is not
a milder winter than any previous... it's about normal.
Currently, 4:30 AM, EST, the temperature is about 10F, and the sun is
expected to shine as is quite usual for January days, in contrast with
December and November when it doesn't shine for weeks. We have a good snow
cover, and huge icicles will form from the roofs but plants are protected.
