I think that Schreiners' things are fairly characteristic of dominant
lines. Ideal for a massive breeding program because the "keepers" =
are so easy to select. Easy to cull because the "throwbacks" aren't
carriers of desirable traits one might want to line-breed.
Personally, I have no desire to work on that scale. I prefer the fun
of wide crosses and nested recessives.
