<< My club does the same thing except that they use the end caps available
for the PVC on the bottom ens. Holes can be drilled in the wood block
bases (pieces of 2 X 6 about 6" long) snug enough to hold the piece of
pipe, but thay can be taken apart and thus store more compactly. We have
 two sizes available - 3/4 and 1".

Our club does this as well for the Japanese Iris show.... and we've also
leaned that those "S" shaped curtain hooks are great holders for the show
cards.

For the TB show, we purchased several cases of plastic shampoo bottles from a
local manufacturer. It's a uniform look (no writing on the bottles of
course), and does not detract from the flowers. For the medians and
siberians, we purchased several cases of glass bud vases from a local
wholesale florist supply store.... again, univorm and they set off the flowers
very well.
