RE;Camera- closeups

I use a Nixon coolpix 950 and I'm very happy with it. Most cameras allow you to select focus, including a close up setting. Even so the camera often won't focus correctly on the flower. I will put my hand (or a piece of paper with writting on it (garden notes)) in front of the flower and the camera will then focus on it and when removed the flower will be in focus. The coolpix has the best close up of any digital (one of the selling points for me) so I can zoom into the heart of the flower and it will focus, then I can zoom out and the flower will be in focus (Snap). All most all the photos on the cover of my cataloue this year were taken with the coolpix. I have photos that are 3x4 inches (approximately) at 300 dpi, suitable for printing. At computer resolution the photos are about 16 x 19 inches. Lots of space for editing.
